Our Philosophy

We believe that each student is unique and should be valued. Each could be a different type of learner with different strengths and aptitudes, still, the differences should be respected. We firmly believe that a good teacher needs to constantly reflect on her/his own teaching and individualize the teaching approach to each student’s aptitude, personality and interest.

We believe it is important students not only learn various linguistic knowledge but also develop skills on how to use language as a tool of communication in different social contexts.

Our ultimate goal of teaching the Chinese language is for students to leave the classroom with language skills, cultural understanding, different perspectives, and a renewed respect for their heritage.
